I really enjoyed this sweet western romance. It took me back in time to the late 1800s. Claire the independent rancher's daughter inherits her fathers ranch and needs a husband in order to keep her property. A marriage of convenience to Peter, a young Ranger who wants a ranch but not a wife is the perfect solution. Someone wants Claire dead and wreaks havoc on the property. The mystery and ensuing action kept me glued to this book. The chemistry between Claire and Pete slowly simmered until they both realised they had fallen in love....I do love a HEA.
The story was well paced and easy to read and the characters likeable. This author always sets the scene so well that one can envision the countryside in that era.
If you love a good western romance then I highly recommend this book.
