I was lucky to get a copy of this book before release and alas I read too fast and it's all over.Brodie is a Marine who comes home to his family farm to find the town flattened by a tornado. His best friend and neighbour Matt didn't make it home and Brodie finds Matt's little sister Danica all grown up. He is torn between wanting her and the best friend code of not touching little sisters. The chemistry between them is sizzling. The story centers around the rebuilding of the town, Danica's parents who are deep in their grief and the banter between Brodie and Danica.
The dog scene got me and my eyes were all blurry reading on the train (don't worry, happy ending).
I loved the story and the characters and got totally engrossed in their tale.
Only thing I did want was an epilogue...what happens next?
