I was hoping for this character for a while now, wondering if he'd be just a talked about person but never come to light with what happened to him.
Both the main characters have physical and mental scarring and come together finding happiness in an ugly place.
This book of the series was rather dark and full of torture and abuse, but imperative to the story. War is far from pretty and for someone to come back from years of torture is quite a miracle. Ann wrapped up their journey well and gave the characters their HEA. I have a feeling they may pop up again further down the track as I feel there is more to add to this couple.
I recommend this book to lovers of romance who want to see characters rise out of the ashes of despair.
